After a long break away from my shed, due to firstly, family, and secondly hot weather, i have restarted the armidale class build. the deck is on, engine air intakes are built, and all the forward bulwark supports are in place.. These patrol boats have been worked very hard in conducting boarder protection and fisheries duties since their introduction. the armidale class patrol boat was also used in the australian tv drama 'sea patrol' which has been shown in many countries around the world in the last couple of years.. Back to the armidale replacement, i did also get a sence that there are plans afoot to replace the 22 pacific class patrol boats as well, perhaps they are planning a large single class purchase maybe even combined with the customs cape class boats. could be a massive patrol boat order of some 40 plus boats..
