Local mp sheryll murray was amazed at the variety of model boats from right across devon and cornwall on display in looe on sunday at their looe model boat club open day. boats were on display from truro and camborne to teignbridge.. Clubs attending include city of truro mariners, hayle model boat club, camborne pond hoppers, millbrook model boat club and falmouth model boat club. visitors will also have the chance to watch demonstrations of radio controlled models on the museum’s boat pool.. Last year i joined a boat club so i could get access to the reservoir they use only to get kicked off because my scale (battery powered) boats frightened the fish!! my boats are scale models so they don't blast across the water at 600 knots but sail sedately or at there fastest 2 knots!!.
