Hey, i’m craig, and for compare surfboards today we’re going to do a little tutorial on how to give your surfboard a cool custom spray. i’ve been putting a few reviews up lately and there has been a lot of questions on the youtube videos about how i paint these boards. we said we’d do. 1. spray painting can be done on a surfboard blank before lamination or on a finished surfboard. if you paint on a finished surfboard you have to protect your design with some sort of acrylic sealant, transparent spray, so it won’t come off.. Shake the paint pen or spray paint vigorously to mix up the paint. if you are using a pen, hold the pen upright to get a substantial flow of paint from the pen's reservoir to the tip. for spray cans, hold the can 4 to 6 inches away from the board and apply multiple thin coats to get the best coverage..
